decapitated geisha head, with Rat

well this is a drawing i did a few days ago i decided to finish it, the hair was the worst, why because i used a medium size permanent marker. not a regular sharpie, i'm running low on supplies due to everything being still packed away in boxes. the drawing is 8 - 10 inches and this took me roughly 4 hours to colour.

upper skull study

i first spent about a good 20 mins drawing boxes to lay out the human form in yellow. i continued with a red purple to lay out the bone structure, and later inked and coloured for about 2 hours.

on a crazy adventure, and still awake for 24 hours

so tired right now i have been awake for an entire day. time to cash in on this orange couch. I'm staying at Joel's place in Oakville. it's really kind of strange going back to school; however, it is Sheridan collrgr and this could be very interesting.

speak , see, hear skulls and banners

here is the final piece, after inking, I added some brush texture to try and give a blood splatter effect. I'm very pleased with how this one turned out.
well i thought hey why not skulls and banners, so i drew out the perspective so that it was easier to place the three skulls evenly, it took me about 1hr and 15 mins to draw the preliminary sketch. This image came out to be 11'' by 11'' still in rough.

skulls

well i understand the dimensions of skulls i've been practicing my own way of drawing them. there ais th illustrated conceptual form to drawing skulls. skulls to me are like second nature in drawing its the first thing anyone draws when they start, mainly because they are just plain fun and creepy .

a collection of banners

this is my first set of banners collected from various styles i found very interesting, some are very traditional some are a new style. cant wait to get to work on other elements of this tattoo design. my favourite out of the bunch is the small right hand side brown and white one and the aswell as the life banner it could be really useful, and easy to integrate into this tattoo idea. the next one is going to be skulls,

new ideas

I have a few ideas floating around in my head, im going to illustrate a few drawings that a little more intricate combination to them instead of one single idea. im sticking to the tattoo routes as this is my main focus. right now. a few pieces i'm going to work on will fill several elements that can play out in a tattoo; for example: nautical stars, hearts, fire, rays of light, clouds, lighting, daggers, banners, and other elements that can be incorporated, i hope this turns out to be an exiting project.

two hearts

Well i am getting better at painting on photoshop, the starting to use more of the shortcuts and layer effects plus the merging down tool. i find this really helps the drawing process go a little quicker.
I started this pair of hearts tattoo design around 5pm but stopped around 9 to take a break and go see some friends. I eventually came home and jumped right back on. My reference again came from my tattoo bible book, there was a small traditional line drawing of two red hearts pinned together with a single black line for a an arrow. My thought at that moment, that was a really simple idea and so i decided to make my own version of the two hearts shot with an arrow design. Enjoy
